I began my journey through yoga after having my son in 2020, while evacuated during the Cameron Peak Fire. After returning home and staying tucked away in the mountains, my practice remained only at home. It was here, at Resilient Soul, that I took my home practice to the studio for the first time. I immediately felt a sense of belonging and community. I was surrounded with wonderful people who reminded me that it’s community that heals, community that moves and community that supports. I then had the unfortunate event of losing my mountain home to a wildfire in late summer of 2024. Through the loss and grieving of a life I so loved and missed, it was yoga and the pranayama that healed me. I realized that nothing else matters… what does matter, is our body, our mind and our soul. When we tap into that, we can come into self with a deeper more beautiful appreciation.
