Katie Miller

Katie enjoys teaching many styles of yoga and received her 200 hour certification in 2011.  She has additional certifications in trauma informed and yin yoga and is currently completing a narrative focused trauma certificate.   Katie found her way to yoga in 2005 seeking a way to find relief from injury after running several marathons.  Yoga was the first time she had ever heard that it was ok to do less and listen to her body - this simple and countercultural message changed the trajectory of her life.  Yoga along with talk work has provided a significant means of ongoing and deep healing from trauma and the ways it entangles us in cycles of harm.  Katie views yoga as an on-going path to integrating and loving the forgotten parts of our bodies, minds and souls that become segregated from consciousness when we endure trauma.

Katie is especially fierce in her desire to offer welcome, protection, grace and ease to the young places in all of our bodies that are trying to find their way back into the light.  As a forever student, it is her privilege to give back into the space that has offered her so much safety, rest and quiet to heal.  She is always looking for unique ways to reflect this gratitude outward by customizing physical and emotional kindness to those that join her in class.

(Free Resilient Flow) Katie was sick! A beautiful instructor. I am so grateful for his place.
